The Art of Human Connection & Cultural Stewardship
We are social creatures, with a deep yearning to connect. Yet, we live in times of great separation, fragmentation and isolation - we feel this yearning as individuals. Luckily, there is a sort of ‘cultural renewal’ taking place, returning to a sense of connectedness in the ways we co-exist.
Through this workshop we explore our role as cultural stewards, and how we might use courage and vulnerability to lean in and start to fostering more meaningful connection in our own lives.
With a strong desire to understand human flourishing in the 21st century, Al Jeffery is a community-designer, mindfulness and movement facilitator, and international speaker. His book, Modern Tribe (to be released in 2019) is the philosophical basis for his work with individuals and teams, creating and holding spaces for connection and creative potential. At the age of 12 he started his entrepreneurial journey and by the time he was 19 he had been listed in Australia’s Top 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs twice in a row, yet felt incredibly depressed and burnt out.
Redefining ‘success’ in this era and merging the worlds of Eastern philosophy and Western science, Al now works at the intersection of innovation, community and wellbeing.
